This is a test.
Facebook has been, as far as I can tell, slowly pushing Tumblr posts deeper and deeper into obscurity in their Timeline (Wall?). This is a just a test for me to see where my posts are going now, and upon which decisions will be made on how I handle replications of my post will be pushed to my Facebook profile. More later…

My pardnah Roger, on Facebook: Logic Question: There are hundreds of dogs allowed to roam the streets. Pedestrians are being mauled by roaming dogs. There are no dog catchers. People are protesting for work. Hmmm… How can I solve all of these problems at once? And in response, 15 minutes later, his pardnah Warren: paint stones white at the sides of the roads… to make them easily...

Digicel Inna 4G
I got into Digicel’s week-long test of their new 4G data network today.  After some hiccups during the afternoon, the following are my average speed test results this evening using the BlackBerry browser on my Torch 9810. I expect that they’ll spend the next few days shaking out bugs and ironing out kinks, but so far, things look good and the consistent 1.4Mbps is welcome on a mobile...

Kimbra's "Two Way Street"
You may remember Kimbra from one of my earlier posts.  She put in a guest appearance on Gotye’s tune “Somebody I Used To Know”. As an aside, Gotye’s tune is this week at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, up from position 3 the previous week. I was trawling Facebook tonight and ran across a video that my brother-in-law Antony posted.  The clip featured an unplugged...

EPL Fans will get this.
Arsenal played Wigan at the Emirates today, and after 8 minutes, they were 2-0 down to the table proppers. On 21 minutes, Arsenal full back Tomas Vermaelen scored to pull back one for his team. I sent a message to the Arsenal fans in my BBM football group asking whether Vermaelen was playing out of position and inquiring how many he’d now scored for Arsenal for the season. Without missing a...

Tabanca is Real
Don’t let anyone ever try to convince you that it’s not.  There’s too much music out there that attests to the malady. That said, I’ve always been a sucker for a good tabanca chune, like Canadian artist Melanie Fiona’s 4AM, off her 2011 album The MF Life. Enjoy. LINK: http://youtu.be/TgmHOcPDSso

Remember this. Always. →
And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.  And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

On George R R Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire"...
Author and screenwriter George R R Martin achieved something significant when the first novel of his acclaimed series, “A Song of Ice and Fire”, was translated to the small screen as the HBO series, “Game of Thrones”: People got very interested in reading the books. Five of the planned seven books have been written, awash with rich scenery and a wide cast of characters, all...

A cult of personality arises when an individual uses mass media, propaganda, or other methods, to create an idealized and heroic public image, often through unquestioning flattery and praise. Cults of personality are usually associated with dictatorships. Sociologist Max Weber developed a tripartite classification of authority; the cult of personality holds parallels with what Weber defined as...

The Onion Song
The Onion Song is indeed a real song written by the legendary Ashford and Simpson and performed by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. According to one website: This song’s lyrics constitute one of the most tortured and inappropriate analogies in the history of popular music. The idea is as follows. “The world is just a great big onion” (this is because it makes us cry, rather than...

Swappi's Bucket (Scratch Master Remix)
One of the few ways I can find to describe this young man is as a disruption in the force. And this is one of just a handful of truly powerful songs I’ve heard for the entire season. I can only imagine the havoc that this pore-raising mix would cause on the road. Enjoy this remix to Swappi’s break away tune, “Bucket”.
